In bed with the enemy

Lots of short posts today. What can I say? I have a terrible attention span on Tuesdays....

This was an odd piece of news.
Georgia has sold a partial management stake in the hydroelectric plant that supplies almost half the country's power to a Russian state-controlled energy firm for $9 million.
One might consider this a national security issue, depending on the nature of the contract and the business relationship. Then again, the devil is in the details. Russians were already using the plant for energy which they weren't paying for. It appears now they will be.

Will the wonders never cease?
